Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry in Rome, NY. Travel assignment starting 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,891 to $1,897 per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. Work setting: inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry unit in an acute care environment. Floating to Med Surg is required. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including ongoing assessment and documentation
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret basic EKG strips, and respond to rhythm changes with appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and manage IV access and line care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, respond to patient alarms, and coordinate care across services
- Cross-train and float to Med Surg as needed to meet unit needs
- Adhere to stroke protocol and participate in NIH Stroke care requirements as applicable
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- NIH Stroke Certification required before start
- Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
- Strong IV skills, proficient with cardiac drips, capable of reading EKG strips, and wound care
Travel Experience Preferred
