Overview

Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry in Rome, NY. Travel assignment starting 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,891 to $1,897 per week. Shift: 3x12 Days. Work setting: inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry unit in an acute care environment. Floating to Med Surg is required. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including ongoing assessment and documentation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret basic EKG strips, and respond to rhythm changes with appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and manage IV access and line care
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, respond to patient alarms, and coordinate care across services
• Cross-train and float to Med Surg as needed to meet unit needs
• Adhere to stroke protocol and participate in NIH Stroke care requirements as applicable

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• NIH Stroke Certification required before start
• Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• Strong IV skills, proficient with cardiac drips, capable of reading EKG strips, and wound care

Travel Experience Preferred
