Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for an individual patient or defined group using the nursing process and established standards
- Collect and analyze data, identify diagnoses and care issues, and develop a plan of care with prescribed interventions
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; monitor patient status and progress
- Delegate appropriately and supervise other nursing staff; collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes
- Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic health record; support care transitions and quality outcomes
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor; BLS is required
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Education: BSN preferred
- EPIC and Cerner experience: Required for this assignment/backfill
- Additional: Ability to work a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM 12-hour shift in a fast-paced short-term acute care setting
