Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including monitoring and documentation
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, perform routine procedures, and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to implement care plans and update electronic medical records
• Maintain patient safety and comfort by monitoring vital signs, assessing for potential complications, and participating in discharge planning and patient education
• Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain care plans and answer questions

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (New York or eligible) for practice in the assignment region
• Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Eligible to work in the United States and available for a 13-week assignment
