Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

- Setting: Medical-Surgical care within a Critical Access Hospital
Responsibilities
Provide direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments; document care accordingly.
Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment; maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, considering age-specific, cultural, and psychosocial needs; participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable.
Floats to other departments within scope as needed to meet patient and unit needs.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Preferred: BSN, MSNL; CMSRN preferred
- CRASE training preferred; if the travel assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
