Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients, including monitoring, assessments, and care planning.
Administer medications, manage IVs, wound care, and pain control per physician orders.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document care in the electronic health record; implement and adjust care plans.
Monitor for changes in patient condition, respond appropriately, and escalate to the charge nurse or provider as needed.
Ensure patient safety and comfort, including fall prevention and timely discharge planning.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience; renewals preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts; no block scheduling
- Local candidates within 50 miles considered with a bill rate adjustment
- Education: Nursing degree (RN)
