Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients across adult age groups, under the direction of the care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; administer medications and treatments per policy and physician orders.
• Monitor patient status, including vital signs and laboratory data; identify and respond to changes in condition; escalate concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and patient education.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record and uphold patient safety and quality standards; maintain a therapeutic, compassionate patient environment.
• May float to related units as needed; maintain competency and communication with unit leadership during assignments.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (state of practice: Montana) or eligibility to practice in Montana.
• Current nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Med/Surg nursing experience or demonstrated competence in medical-surgical care.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating shifts and potential float duties.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with placement policies; ability to travel to Havre, MT for the assignment.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $1,793 to $1,949.

Schedule

• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Contract duration: 13 weeks.
• Shift: Rotating with possible float to other units as needed.
