Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) | Atlanta, GA | Start September 7, 2026 | 13-week assignment | $1,598–$1,735 per week | Guaranteed 36 hours per week | Day shift | Hospital setting caring for a mixed Med/Surg patient population on a 30-bed unit Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,598–$1,735 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 12-hour shifts on a 12x3 schedule Start date: September 7, 2026 Setting: 30-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to a mixed Med/Surg patient population on a 30-bed unit with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments per physician orders Monitor vital signs and patient status; respond promptly to changes and escalate as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and ancillary staff; communicate clearly with patients and families Document care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards Support patient safety, comfort, symptom management, and family education throughout the shift Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia BLS required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital setting Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Ability to work in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit with 12-hour day shifts; no scheduled time off (no RTO) during the assignment Benefits and Support 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours Competitive weekly pay within the stated range Support throughout credentialing and onboarding processes Assignment coordination and ongoing travel support provided by Healthforce Healthcare LLC Access to resources designed to help you succeed on a 13-week Med/Surg assignment Find more opportunities If you’re exploring other travel RN openings, apply for additional positions or related roles at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
