Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate patient care on a Med/Surg unit during night shifts, ensuring safe, individualized nursing care
- Develop and implement patient care plans in partnership with physicians, patients, and families as applicable
- Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients across adult and geriatric populations
- Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, document accurately, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Promote teamwork with medical staff and unit personnel; maintain confidentiality and adhere to applicable policies on advance directives and applicable laws
- Document care and administer medications per policy, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes
Requirements
- Licence: Current RN license in Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Certifications: Current BCLS and ACLS
- Experience: Med/Surg nursing experience or demonstrated Med/Surg competency; ability to function independently in a hospital setting
Skills
- Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation abilities
- Setting: Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg environment and participate in a 3x12 night rotation

$1,901 - $2,008 per week
