Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg setting, following physician orders and established standards
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, perform nursing assessments, and document care in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the health care team to coordinate patient care and transitions, while ensuring safety and infection control
- Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures (vital signs, IV therapy, wound care, pre/postoperative tasks) and assist with procedures as needed
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning support, and referrals to appropriate community resources
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in the United States (any state), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory; must be current, full, and unrestricted
- BLS and ACLS certifications; Complete TCAR within six months of hire; NIHSS within six months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility
- Ability to work in a Med/Surg environment within a surgical center; comfortable with 3x12-hour day shifts
