Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,992-$2,096 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Start date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Hospital Med Surg unit Local rate note: Travelers within 50 miles of the facility will receive a $10/hour lower local rate Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg unit under the supervision of the Unit Director, following the Maine Board of Nursing standards and hospital policies Monitor patient status, perform rounds, respond to patient needs, and utilize telemetry as required Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; document in the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and safety in medication administration Collaborate with the care team, communicate clearly with patients and families, and participate in shift handoffs and rounding with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; document all care and observations accurately; adhere to regulatory requirements and hospital policy Demonstrate strong teamwork and multi-tasking abilities; contribute to a positive unit workflow and escalate issues to the charge nurse when needed Requirements Current Maine RN license BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire Telemetry experience preferred Bachelor's Degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg setting; strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours during the assignment Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid Travel assignment with dedicated support from the staffing organization Local rate note for travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility Find more opportunities If this assignment isn’t a fit, explore additional openings available at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
