Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery (L&D) at a hospital-based unit in Saratoga Springs, New York. Assignment starts 09/07/2026 for a duration of several weeks, with a shift of 3x12 Nights.

About the Role

Provide direct patient care for laboring patients and newborns in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with nursery responsibilities. Epic charting is used for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for laboring patients and newborns, including nursery responsibilities
• Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; respond to changes in condition per standard protocols
• Administer medications and support obstetric procedures as ordered; assist with deliveries and postpartum care
• Perform newborn assessment and nursery tasks; coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for neonatal stabilization when needed
• Document accurately in the Epic electronic medical record; communicate clearly with obstetric, anesthesia, and pediatric teams
• Maintain infection control practices; participate in patient and family education; coordinate discharge planning

Requirements

• NY RN license in hand at submission
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within the past 2 years
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• 3+ years of clinical L&D experience; prior travel experience required; nursery care skills
• Healthstream orientation modules (approximately 12–15 hours) completed by 7:00 AM on the Wednesday prior to start
• Residence outside a 50-mile radius from the assignment location
• Submit recent Nursys verification and professional references

Pay

Weekly pay: $2,030–$2,129 per week. No guaranteed hours.
