Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Travel assignment supporting a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit in Baltimore, Maryland. Start date: 08/17/2026, duration: 13 weeks.

Pay & Schedule

• Weekly pay: $1,758–$1,895 per week
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• On-call schedule to be determined by the facility

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including interpretation of data and timely response to changes
• Administer medications and perform procedures within the scope of practice and facility protocols
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and respond to obstetric emergencies as needed
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurse midwives, and interdisciplinary team; provide patient and family education
• Ensure high-quality nursing care aligns with age-specific needs and development

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license (or eligibility) with license verification within 30 days
• 2+ years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
• Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, EFM, NIHSS, and NRP (must be current)
• Willingness to obtain EFM certification within 48 hours if offered; willingness to obtain NIHSS certification within 48 hours if offered
• COVID-19 vaccine required per state records; declinations not accepted
• Local candidates accepted; must be able to work the facility schedule; no scheduling restrictions
• Documentation: Cover page from the facility or equivalent; resume with gaps explained; supervisory references (last 6 and last 12 months); L&D skills checklist; RN license/nursys verification (verification < 30 days); current copies of required certifications
