Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients within a high-acuity unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, contractions, and progress; identify and respond to emergencies
- Administer medications, manage analgesia, and assist with labor and delivery procedures
- Perform postpartum assessments, newborn care support, and breastfeeding education
- Document care in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs during shifts
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license with Nursys verification (current or conditional acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery in an acute care setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Travel experience required; resume must show 2+ years in L&D and include 2 recent L&D charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Flu vaccine during season; valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- Willingness to work every other major holiday; RTO requested at submission and not guaranteed after confirmation
About the role
This travel assignment starts 08/25/2026 and runs for 12 weeks. Earn a weekly range of $2,589 to $2,737 with 36 guaranteed hours. Shifts are 12 hours on a rotating 2x3 schedule (7a–7p and 7p–7a) with rotating weekends and major holidays. Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit on a full-time travel assignment.
