Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery and nursery couplet care for maternity patients in a rural community hospital setting
• Manage 45–50 deliveries per month with intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring
• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and coordination with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and nursing teams
• May float to assist other departments but not as a primary nurse for those areas
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned; earn an additional $2.00 per hour during charge nurse duties
• Ensure patient safety, review evolving labor progress, respond to fetal and maternal changes, and maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license
• Minimum Labor & Delivery experience; must have L&D and Nursery RN with couplet care experience
• Proficient in intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a travel assignment
• Comfortable working in a rural community hospital environment
