Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Coos Bay, Oregon.
About the Role
This is a hospital-based obstetric care unit (LDRP) focused on OB triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. The role does not involve circulating or scrubbing in the OR; OB surveillance and EHR workflow are central.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care across OB triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery settings.
- Monitor fetal status using OBIX for fetal surveillance and document in EPIC EHR.
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; adjust care plans as labor progresses.
- Provide patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and support to significant others and care partners.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary obstetric team to coordinate safe, efficient care and manage evolving obstetric situations.
- Maintain clinical competencies, including fetal heart monitoring and obstetric emergency readiness; participate in ongoing quality and safety activities.
Requirements
- Active or eligible Oregon RN license; willingness to obtain active licensure if not currently active.
- BLS (AHA) required; NRP required.
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring (required).
- OBIX experience and EPIC EMR experience highly preferred; EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital OB/LDRP setting and to perform duties on a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift; weekend rotation every other weekend.
Submission must include: 2-year minimum labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring; resume; skills checklist (within 1 year); certifications (even if not active at submission, willingness to obtain required); Oregon license (active or willingness to obtain).
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,237–$2,415 per week.
Schedule
- Start date: 08/25/2026.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12-hour nights.
- On-call: To be determined.
