Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Responsibilities

• Deliver full obstetric nursing care across LDRP and Newborn Nursery units, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Maintain maternal and fetal status; interpret electronic fetal monitoring; respond to obstetric emergencies
• Assist vaginal deliveries; scrub and circulate for cesarean sections; provide immediate postpartum and recovery care
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, analgesics; monitor for adverse effects
• Perform newborn assessments and resuscitation as needed; coordinate discharge planning and family education
• Maintain EPIC charting; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.); adhere to unit protocols and safety standards

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York (in hand to submit)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting OB-specific experience: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care (LDRP and Newborn Nursery)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to work in LDRP and Newborn Nursery environments; on-call and weekend coverage; able to float within the stated skillset
