Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the acute care setting
- Conduct nursing assessments, develop and revise care plans, and monitor patient progress
- Administer medications, therapies, and monitoring for adverse effects; escalate changes as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team during rounds, care conferences, and handoffs
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and privacy
- Educate patients and families and coordinate discharge planning and post-discharge resources
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and eligibility to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Knowledge and application of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts; maintain flexibility in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient-centered care
