Overview
Position: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Endo), Charge Acute Care.
Location: Geneva, NY, United States.
Start date: 08/03/2026.
Duration: 26 weeks.
Weekly pay: $2,303–$2,418 per week.
Shift: 4x9s (36 hours per week) with an on-call rotation.
Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients admitted for medical conditions, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide Endoscopy-specific nursing care across the perioperative spectrum: pre-operative (Endo), intra-operative circulating/tech Endo, and post-operative Endo care.
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized care plan, monitor progress, and adjust care as conditions change.
- Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge, including lifestyle adjustments and home care instructions.
- Administer medications, verify orders, and monitor for adverse reactions; maintain accurate documentation of care and patient response.
- Promote a healing environment, infection prevention, patient safety, and professional communication within the care team; participate in quality improvement activities when applicable.
- Participate in on-call duties with a 1-hour response time, including rotation that may include weekends and holidays as outlined by the shift schedule.
Requirements
- Current NYS RN license.
- Endoscopy experience: minimum 1 year as an Endoscopy RN.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (required).
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care setting and participate in a 4x9s schedule with on-call responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel for a travel assignment and adhere to facility and unit policies.
