Travel Registered Nurse Case Management Job

Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Case Management within an ambulatory clinic setting in Sitka, Alaska. Assignment starts on 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Applicants must reside at least 100 miles away from the work site.

About the Role

This role involves providing outpatient care within a hospital system. An active Alaska RN license is required at the time of submission. Candidates must also comply with flu vaccination requirements and complete a fingerprint clearance process, which may delay the start date by at least six weeks after fingerprint cards are received.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in an ambulatory care setting
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders; monitor responses
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately to the provider
• Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain infection control standards and participate in quality improvement activities
• Demonstrate professional practice and, as needed, support other departments or staff

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must be active at time of submittal)
• Direct Hire candidates must have applied for an Alaska nursing license before start date; agency staff must have an active Alaska license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Case Management certification preferred
• Flu vaccination required
• Ability to work in an ambulatory clinic environment and coordinate care with providers and the care team
• General clinical nursing background

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $3,281 to $3,444.

Schedule

• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 5x8 days, Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00
• Start date: 09/28/2026
