Overview
Radiology Technologist – Mammography in Boston, MA. Start date 10/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range is $2,951–$3,193 with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift consists of 10-hour days. Travel assignment in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography imaging procedures, including patient positioning, compression, and exposure selection to produce high-quality breast images
- Collaborate with radiologists and breast imaging staff to ensure accurate imaging and optimal visualization of breast tissue
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
- Document procedures, manage patient records, and ensure correct image labeling, storage, and communication of results per department standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot mammography equipment, perform routine quality control checks, and report issues promptly
- Demonstrate professional communication with patients and colleagues; adhere to local regulations and department guidelines
- On-call availability is not required
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts license to practice radiologic technology
- ARRT certification in Radiography with Mammography endorsement
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a breast imaging/mammography setting
- Ability to work a 10-hour shift in a hospital environment
- Strong patient-care skills and proficiency in mammography positioning techniques
