Travel radiology technologist focusing on mammography for a 13-week assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date: August 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiography procedures with emphasis on mammography imaging to assist in diagnosis or intervention.
  • Corroborate patient clinical history with the procedure and document information for licensed practitioners.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions to obtain desired results, and minimize anxiety.
  • Operate radiography equipment and devices; position patient and equipment to best demonstrate the area of interest; immobilize as needed.
  • Determine exposure factors to minimize patient and staff radiation exposure; evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification.
  • Verify informed consent for interventional procedures and assist licensed practitioners; practice aseptic techniques as required.
  • Provide physical and emotional care during procedures; follow state statutes and institutional policies regarding contrast media or medications when prescribed.
  • Adapt to a dynamic hospital environment; participate in required education and, when needed, flex to other departments while maintaining core radiology responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Licenses/Certifications: OBMI and ARRT registered Mammography technologist; Current BLS certification.
  • Experience: None required; preferred minimum 2 years (not mandatory).
  • Additional: CRASE training required if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months.
  • Ability to perform mammography and diagnostic radiography procedures in a hospital setting; able to work days and participate in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Weekly pay: $2,761–$2,851 per week.

Schedule

  • Guaranteed hours: 40 per week.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Contract duration: 13 weeks.
