Key Highlights

Credentialing and onboarding

  • ARRT Radiography license in hand
  • KS licensure to be pursued if needed
  • Orientation: Mon–Tue plus bi-weekly nursing orientation Wed–Fri
  • Credentials due 1 week prior to start

On-call

  • As needed

  • Bi-weekly pay

Equipment and environment

  • Siemens IR suites (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee, single-plane setup)

Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologists during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique and scrub duties
  • Operate imaging systems in the IR suite, with attention to safety and image quality
  • Position patients, monitor vitals, and manage contrast administration and set-up for procedures
  • Prepare and document procedure details, equipment usage, and patient response per protocol
  • Support patient care before, during, and after procedures; coordinate with nursing staff and cross-disciplinary teams
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and institutional policies; assist with post-procedure care and patient transport as needed

Requirements

  • Active ARRT Radiography credential (in hand)
  • Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure (can apply once offered; may start with KS lic pending)
  • AHA BLS certification
  • 2 years IR experience; scrub experience required; 3 years IR experience with large hospital settings preferred
  • Scrub experience and ability to work in a fast-paced IR environment
  • Ability to work in a travel assignment and to float to IR units as needed
  • Start date readiness for a 13-week engagement; credentialing documentation due 1 week prior to start
