Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures, including angiography with cardiac cath and vascular/IR work, under physician direction
- Operate and optimize imaging systems (Siemens Artis Bi-Plane with Synco Inspace/DynaCT, AXIOM Sensis) and manage imaging protocols, patient positioning, and radiation safety
- Prepare patients and assist during procedures; administer contrast per protocol; maintain sterile technique and monitor patient responses
- Document procedures in the facility’s electronic health record systems (MEDITECH/Health Connect) and manage image storage in PACS (Fuji CV PACS; Fuji radiology) and related monitoring systems (Phillips)
- Contribute to a collaborative IR lab workflow, communicate clearly with radiologists, nurses, and other team members, and participate in on-call coverage as required
Requirements
- Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license active by start date; travelers not in possession must apply upon acceptance and obtain licensure by assignment start
- Minimum 2 years of experience in angiography, vascular and interventional radiology, including cardiac cath procedures
- Must have or demonstrate Cardiac Cath, Vascular and Interventional Radiology skill set
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start date (flu vaccine can be administered during employee health clearance)
- Ability to work a rotating schedule with on-call requirements; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Comfortable operating advanced IR equipment and integrating with hospital IT and imaging systems
