Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to our policyholders by conducting on-site inspections, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and efficiently.
  • Handle virtual claims countrywide, leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
  • Focused on water losses, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.
  • Live into Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring customers, leading with empathy, always.
  • Confidently and independently investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  • Use phone, emails, and sometimes video chat with customers to help them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. Incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer the customer their preference of communication and keep them updated on the claim progress.
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, in accordance with all legal and business standard methodologies. Incorporate tactics in handling challenging and complex situations.
  • Utilize multiple tools to get the job done in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and additional settlement platforms, all while using sharp critical thinking skills.
  • Protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements, and keep a clear record of your work in a claims system that you will be trained on. Ensure timely and accurate documentation is completed as you work on each claim.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience writing water damage estimates preferred.
  • Previous experience as a property adjuster preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating software like Xactimate preferred.
  • Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, starting from home, and travel to different locations.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward challenges.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on either a one to two-story roof.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of an airport.

  • As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Pay

$52,800 – $117,700 based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

  • During training, work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • After training, work 10 days on 4 days off working 8 – 12 hours/day (up to $175/day for working over 8 hours, $200 weekends and/or holidays).
  • This field position requires up to 90% travel out of town.
  • Required to attend 2-week training program in Dallas, TX.
