About the role
Deliver advanced pediatric critical care in high-acuity settings.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop and implement complex care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Explain procedures to patients and families, provide emotional support, and educate on care plans.
- Operate medical equipment such as ventilators and monitors, monitor vital signs, and respond to life-threatening situations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to safety and infection control standards, and perform assigned duties within scope of practice.
Requirements
- Recent pediatric ICU experience and valid RN license.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications; ACLS and CCRN preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to move equipment and patients, and mental resilience to work under pressure.
