About the Role

Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Observe, assess, and document patient conditions; respond to emergencies per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; PCCN and NIHSS preferred.
• Critical thinking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient needs.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
