About the Role
Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, with a focus on cardiac monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
- Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Observe, assess, and document patient conditions; respond to emergencies per protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
- Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; PCCN and NIHSS preferred.
- Critical thinking, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient needs.
- Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
