Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the Role

Provide specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, preparing equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Respond to cardiac emergencies, document patient assessments, and develop patient education plans focused on cardiac health. Ensure patient safety, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry data and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Document patient assessments and develop education plans focused on cardiac health
• Administer medications and prepare equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Perform all duties within scope of practice while maintaining safety and confidentiality

Requirements

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Preferred certifications: PCCN and NIHSS
• Demonstrated critical thinking and excellent communication skills
• Physical stamina and technical proficiency
• Ability to work under pressure and with diverse personnel
