About the Role
A Travel Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care, requiring frequent monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data, responding to abnormalities.
- Administer medications and treatments, assist during cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient assessments, observe and record significant conditions, and notify healthcare teams as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
- Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred: PCCN and NIHSS certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
