About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units. The Stepdown RN manages complex conditions, provides frequent monitoring, and works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Administer medications and assist with procedures
- Observe patient responses and respond to emergencies
- Document assessments and patient progress
- Educate patients and families on care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Critical thinking and strong communication skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work under pressure
- Technical and interpersonal skills
