Travel PCU Stepdown RN

About the Role

Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, with frequent monitoring and specialized interventions. Assess and manage complex patient needs, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities and prepare equipment for cardiac procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, document assessments, and respond to cardiac emergencies.
• Initiate patient education focusing on cardiac health and collaborate for comprehensive care.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred: PCCN and NIHSS certifications.
• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients; strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
