About the role
A Travel Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units, requiring frequent monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assist with cardiac procedures
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient assessments and responses
- Provide patient education on cardiac health
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- One year of recent Stepdown RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Preferred: PCCN and NIHSS certifications
- Critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including moving equipment and assisting patients
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality
