About the Role
A Travel Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring continuous monitoring and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
- Administer medications and assist with cardiac procedures.
- Assess patient conditions, document history, and respond to emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on cardiac health and safety measures.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
- Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; PCCN or NIHSS preferred.
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail and confidentiality.
