Traveling Occupational Therapist assignment in High Point, North Carolina. Start date 09/07/2026 for a 13-week contract in a long-term care (nursing home) setting.

Pay & Schedule

  • Weekly pay range: $1,851–$1,956
  • Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week
  • Shift: 5x8 days (08:00–16:30)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and ongoing re-assessments for residents with acute care needs within a long-term care setting
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at improving or maintaining self-care abilities and functional independence
  • Deliver evidence-based OT interventions (therapeutic activities, adaptive technique training, and home management strategies) aligned with patient goals
  • Document assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans in the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and timely submission for reimbursement and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy colleagues, physicians, social services) to coordinate care and participate in care planning rounds
  • Support discharge planning and transitions of care, including caregiver and family education and resources for continued progress

Requirements

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina or eligibility for NC licensure
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Ability to work in a long-term care/post-acute setting and participate in a travel assignment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience in acute care or SNF/long-term care settings preferred
