Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job
Travel Occupational Therapist position in Silver Spring, Maryland for a 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026. Contracted through Healthforce Healthcare LLC in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, motor function, cognition, and daily functioning
- Reassess progress regularly and adjust goals; document outcomes in the electronic medical record per facility policy
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and transition of care
- Educate residents and families on home programs, safety strategies, and equipment needs
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient handling best practices during therapy sessions
Requirements
- Willingness to relocate for 13 weeks and commit to the stated shift schedule
- Availability to work 08:00–16:30 on a 5x8 day pattern with guaranteed hours
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document clearly and completely
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary care environment
- Ability to comply with facility policies and pursue ongoing professional responsibilities during the assignment
Pay
- Weekly pay: $2,223–$2,312 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 35 per week

- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00–16:30)
