Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify functional limitations and goals for residents
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing daily living activities, mobility, functional strength, and safety
Deliver direct therapy to residents, including therapy sessions and group activities, using evidence-based approaches
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, PT, social work, and physicians) to coordinate care and support transitions across levels of care
Document resident progress, outcomes, and plan modifications in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
Educate residents and families on adaptive equipment, home safety, discharge planning, and caregiver training
Requirements
Active Occupational Therapist license to practice in Maine (or eligibility for licensure in Maine)
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program; NBCOT certification preferred or eligible
Ability to work effectively in a long-term care setting and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
Prior clinical experience in acute care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred
