About the role

Medical-Surgical Floor Registered Nurse in Sterling, Colorado. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit, following organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs.
• Develop and revise care plans based on assessment findings.
• Coordinate and provide direct patient care, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
• Document all patient interactions and care activities promptly and accurately.
• Participate in ongoing education, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
• May oversee activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and external providers to ensure safe, effective, and equitable care delivery.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a valid compact RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting for the specified specialty is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience are advantageous.

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
