About the role

Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in a healthcare facility located in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves floating between various medical and surgical units, with responsibilities including providing patient care in a fast-paced environment. The position requires adherence to professional standards and effective collaboration with team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, days (06:45 to 19:15)
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Float rotation may be required to other units/departments including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment
• Adhere to professional standards and collaborate with team members
• Utilize equipment such as Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Valid Hawaii RN license
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• 0-10 years of relevant experience
• Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend employee health appointment on Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC certification
• ENPC certification

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
