Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,070 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor RN role providing patient care on a neuro-oriented orthopedic and general medical-surgical unit. Requires experience with orthopedic patients and proficiency with PCA pumps within a fast-paced acute care environment.

Unit Details

• 33-bed, all private room orthopedic/neuro-medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratios: 1 to 6
• Common diagnoses: elective surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures from falls, neuro surgeries, and general MedSurg patients

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit
• Manage orthopedic and neuro-medical-surgical patients
• Operate PCA pumps and utilize EPIC electronic medical record system
• Complete EPIC orientation plus on-floor preceptorship
• Float to MedSurg and Telemetry units as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active RN licensure (must submit with application)
• Current driver's license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Minimum 36 hours per week
• Weekend work: every other week, with specific scheduling based on unit needs
• Holiday work may be required depending on staffing

Support & Unit Environment

• Charge nurse available 24/7
• Patient care techs (usually 3–4)
• RT equipment management
• Remote tele monitoring
• Strict dress code: royal blue scrubs/jackets
