Job Summary

The organization is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract on a night shift at a facility located in Jasper, Indiana. The candidate will work in a 22-bed adult med-surg unit specializing in diverse primary diagnoses such as orthopedic surgeries, abdominal surgeries, infections, and urology. Job Details

Location: Jasper, Indiana
Position Type: Contract, 13 weeks
Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts, potential for float between med/surg departments
Start Date: 08/17/2026

Qualifications

Required Certifications: BLS, Indiana State Nursing License
Qualifications: Two or more years of med-surg nursing experience, proficiency in Epic charting system (preferred), strong assessment and critical thinking skills, adaptability, clinical judgment, excellent communication, resilience, and ability to manage change in high-acuity environments
Patient Population: Adult med-surg patients with varied diagnoses including orthopedic, abdominal, and infectious conditions
Unit Environment: Fast-paced, supportive, collaborative team culture focused on safety, teamwork, and high-quality patient care

Additional Notes

Potential for Holiday Shifts: Around July 4th or Labor Day
Schedule Discussion: To be discussed with candidates
Covid-19 Vaccine: Not required (subject to change)
No Guaranteed Hours During Orientation Week: But set weekly hours are guaranteed thereafter
