Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long Term Care Job

Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in a long-term care facility in Waterloo, NY. This is a 26-week temporary assignment starting September 1, 2026.

Schedule

• Night shift, 5x8 (five 8-hour shifts per week)
• Weekends and holidays as required

Pay

$1,427 - $1,555 per week

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for residents on the assigned unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Collect data on residents’ physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings to the RN and Interdisciplinary Team
• Contribute to development of an age-appropriate, culturally relevant plan of resident care reflecting nursing diagnoses and interventions; involve residents and families in the process
• Recommend revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes and refer to appropriate services to address all aspects of care
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in Nursing Practice; participate in continuing education and in-service programs
• Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and collaborate with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary team members; provide mentoring to peers as needed

Requirements

• Active NY LPN licensure
• BLS certification (through American Heart Association or RQI)
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends/holidays as scheduled; adapt to the 5x8 night rotation
• Competence in caring for adult and geriatric residents; strong collaboration with an Interdisciplinary Team
• Willingness to follow defined policies and procedures under RN supervision and maintain patient safety
