Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision of an RN
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly to the supervising nurse
- Document care provided in the charting system according to facility policy and privacy guidelines
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility, focusing on safety and comfort
- Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care plans and respond to changes in resident status
- Uphold infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe care environment for residents and staff
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (in good standing) or eligibility to practice in NM
- Graduation from an approved Practical Nurse program
- Local candidates only
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating schedule
- Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and resident-centered care skills
