Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision of an RN
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders, ensuring accuracy and safety
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly to the supervising nurse
• Document care provided in the charting system according to facility policy and privacy guidelines
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility, focusing on safety and comfort
• Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care plans and respond to changes in resident status
• Uphold infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe care environment for residents and staff

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (in good standing) or eligibility to practice in NM
• Graduation from an approved Practical Nurse program
• Local candidates only
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating schedule
• Experience in a long-term care setting is preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and resident-centered care skills
