Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Administer medications and document clinical observations accurately
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in condition, and report appropriately
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, supportive environment
- Collaborate with the health care team to implement and adjust care plans
- Document care and communications clearly in resident records; adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current licensure as applicable by state requirements
- Ability to work evenings and/or overnight shifts in a long-term care setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document accurately
- Comfort working in a fast-paced LTC environment and adjusting to resident care needs
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred
- CPR/BLS certification and ongoing compliance with relevant professional requirements
