About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide end-of-life care in home and hospice settings. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering pain management, and educating families to ensure dignity and comfort. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to deliver holistic support while adhering to hospice standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and document care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer pain management and symptom control
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, including interdisciplinary teams
- Educate families on patient care and end-of-life support
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Ensure compliance with hospice standards and regulations
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least one year of recent RN experience
- Minimum six months of hospice or palliative care experience
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and technical skills
- Physical and sensory abilities to perform care duties effectively
