About the role
Provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients in hospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, and emotional support. Assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer treatments, and educate families. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, regulatory-compliant care and document all interactions accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and create individualized care plans
- Administer medications and interventions for pain and symptom control
- Support and educate families and caregivers
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust care accordingly
- Coordinate with healthcare team members and document care activities
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year of recent RN experience, including six months in hospice
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist with patient care and equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in English, PC skills, and comprehension of instructions
