About the role
Provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients in hospice settings, focusing on comfort, pain management, and emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans
- Administer medications and manage symptoms
- Educate families on care and disease progression
- Monitor and document patient changes and interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, regulatory-compliant care
- Coordinate with care teams and adhere to safety protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and loved ones
- Maintain effective communication with team members
Qualifications & Skills
- Recent RN experience, including at least six months in hospice
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including moving equipment and standing for periods
- Proficiency in PC use and ability to work under pressure
