About the role
American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Home Health Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Pollocksville, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Document, review, and revise a Plan of Care (POC) based on evaluations and ongoing assessments.
- Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders based on medical referrals.
- Aid and instruct patients and families in transfer techniques and use of mobility equipment.
- Educate patients and families about therapeutic procedures tailored to age, condition, and learning readiness.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions in all patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments aligned with your education and competence levels.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a PT.
- Current State License as a Physical Therapist.
- CPR certification.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Previous home care experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program.
- Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and commitment to professional growth.
- Fluent in English.

Pay
Pay Range: $59.88 - $62.87 per hour.
Schedule
40 Hours per week (Standard Days).
Pay Package
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
