About the role
Assists in electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablations, device implantations, and mapping within the EP lab.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Monitor patient responses during procedures
- Administer medications as directed
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the EP lab
- Collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans
- Monitor post-procedure recovery
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
- Perform patient assessments
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
- Support clinical workflows and maintain detailed focus under pressure
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications preferred
- Valid radiologic technologist license preferred
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical proficiency with EP lab equipment
- Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient movement
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus
