About the role
Assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, and device implantations within the EP lab. Prepare patients, operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, monitor patient responses, and support cardiac mapping and interventions. Perform patient assessments, educate patients and families, administer medications, and provide post-procedure care. Collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments
- Assist physicians during procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes
- Maintain sterile techniques
- Support safe and efficient procedures
- Provide patient education and post-procedure monitoring to ensure stability and safety
Requirements
- At least one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications
- Preferred: radiologic technologist credentials and PALS or ENPC
