About the role
Assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized procedures within the EP lab. Prepare patients, operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, monitor responses, and support cardiac mapping and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, educate patients and families, and administer medications.
- Provide post-procedure care and maintain sterile technique.
- Ensure safety protocols and collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and document findings.
- Assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Perform assessments, assist physicians, and monitor patient responses.
- Support safe, efficient workflow and provide immediate post-procedure care.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
- Adapt to irregular activity and maintain focus under stress.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications.
- Preferred: valid radiologic technologist license, PALS or ENPC certifications.
- Critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to handle equipment and capacity to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading instructions, PC skills, and effective teamwork.
