About the role
Assist in electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablations, device implantations, and mapping. Prepare patients, operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, monitor patient responses, and support safe, efficient procedures. Provide patient education, administer medications, and deliver post-procedure care. Collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans, maintain sterile techniques, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and educate patients
- Assist with electrophysiology procedures (cardiac ablations, device implantations, mapping)
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to patient condition changes
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols
- Support post-procedure recovery
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least one year's recent EP Lab Tech experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications
- Critical thinking and excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina and technical skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Visual acuity and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel
Preferred certifications
- Radiologic tech license
- PALS or ENPC
